Quebrada Quillcayhuanca / Cojup – 3 Days

Quebrada Quillcayhuanca and Cojup are two beautiful valleys in the Cordillera Blanca, near the city of Huaraz, in the Áncash region, Peru. They are popular destinations for trekking and exploring spectacular Andean landscapes. Quebrada Quillcayhuanca: This valley stretches for about 20 kilometers and is known for its impressive landscape, which includes green meadows, rock formations, brightly colored lagoons and panoramic views of snow-capped peaks such as Tullparaju and Andavite. The Quillcayhuanca trekking route is less traveled than others in the Cordillera Blanca, which offers a quieter experience in contact with nature. It is an ideal destination for lovers of hiking and observing Andean flora and fauna. Quebrada Cojup: This neighboring valley also offers impressive landscapes and is a popular destination for trekking and climbing. The route through Cojup takes hikers through varied terrain that includes alpine meadows, crystal-clear rivers, and close views of snow-capped peaks such as Palcaraju and Pucaranra. One of the main attractions of Cojup is Laguna Palcacocha, a beautiful turquoise glacial lagoon surrounded by mountains. Both valleys, Quillcayhuanca and Cojup, offer trekking routes of varying length and difficulty, and allow visitors to experience the majesty of the Cordillera Blanca in a less crowded environment. They are perfect for those who seek adventures in nature and want to enjoy the unique landscapes of the Peruvian Andes.
